    Yes. Cats will get feline distemper, which is more correctly called panleukopenia (FPV), is a highly contagious, life-threatening disease in cats caused by infection with the feline parvovirus (not a distemper virus) thus, feline distemper more closely resembles parvovirus infection in dogs.
