Dogs cannot eat chocolate. The methylxanthines contained in chocolate can cause central nervous system excitement in dogs and cause cardiac arrest. The theobromine contained in chocolate not only affects the central nervous system and myocardium, but the most critical is this ingredient cannot be metabolized. It will continue to affect the dog’s body and cause the dog to become poisoned.
